Community Wildfire Protection Planning
Westland Resources has prepared several Community Wildfire Protection Plans. In 2019 Westland fulfilled the City of Terrace and Regional District of Kitimat-Stikine’s FireSmart programs through the Community Resiliency Investment funding program.
Forest Operations
Westland has adopted and developed a number of alternative harvesting methods for our licencees that have the capacity to address site-specific values such as the protection of cultural heritage species, the conservation of critical habitats, or conformance with visual quality objectives.

We are experts in preparing Forest Stewardship Plans (FSPs). We prepared the first FSP to be approved in BC, as well as the first FSP to be approved for a First Nation.

Westland is SAFE and COR certified. Our employees have First Aid (Levels 1 & 3), WHMIS, and bear aware.
